The highly acclaimed dumpling and noodle hotspot renowned from Taipei to Los Angeles for perfecting the art of the Xiao Long Bao, Din Tai Fung, has finally debuted in Las Vegas. The business is located at ARIA Resort & Casino.
Din Tai Fung Restaurant Group vice president Aaron Young said it was an exciting moment for him to see his grandpa’s humble dream come true on the Las Vegas Strip.
“For nearly five decades, we’ve meticulously honed our culinary techniques to ensure every Din Tai Fung guest experiences the same Xiao Long Bao perfection my grandfather introduced in 1972, regardless of where they are in the world. As we open our doors in Las Vegas, I know he is as proud as we are to welcome the millions of people who visit this city each year to experience Din Tai Fung at ARIA,” he added.
The signature design feature of the venue is a vibrant show kitchen that spotlights the craftsmanship of the restaurant’s dedicated Xiao Long Bao culinary team and the processes involved in the complex production of 10,000 dumplings daily.
Din Tai Fung has a great legacy that dates back to Taiwan 1972 when Mr. Bing-Yi Yang turned his simple cooking oil shop into a popular soup dumplings hotspot. Respected for its attention to detail, the restaurant grabbed the attention of Japanese tourists, launching a global empire for dumplings that is currently enjoying a presence in 13 countries.
This year, Din Tai Fung is celebrating the 20th anniversary of expanding into the US. It has developed a loyal following in the country.
ARIA’s President and Chief Operating Officer Steve Zanella said it was an honor for the restaurant to come to Las Vegas. “Their mastery of dumplings and noodles has captivated people around the world for decades, so to be able to build a Din Tai Fung here at ARIA is a wonderful opportunity. We cannot wait to introduce our guests to their new favorite craving,” he added.
The coming of Din Tai Fung to Las Vegas also excited Ari Kastrati, the Chief Hospitality Officer at MGM Resorts International. The executive said the restaurant is famous “worldwide for its exceptional cuisine and high level of service, making it a perfect marriage with ARIA.”
Din Tai Fung offers a wide range of Taiwanese dining experience with a great selection of dumplings, vegetable dishes, noodles, and more.
The new venue at ARIA is on the casino floor, next to Lift Bar. Din Tai Fung is open every night from 4 pm to 11 pm and welcomes reservations.
