The Raiders are expected to have a great season given their roster has been elevated since last year’s season.
The new team was put together by the Raiders new general manager, Mike Mayock, in association with Jon Gruden.
The Raiders new and improved roster a lot since 2019 will require players to step up their game and prove themselves in order to earn playtime.
4 players who could be cut before the preseason
1. Zay Jones
Raiders fans have been raving about Jones and supporting him as he worked on himself during offseason.
So far, Jones hasn’t unleashed his full potential with the Raiders and before that with the Buffalo Bills.
According to Jones track record, over the last two years, he recorded 20 catches for 174 yards and has not scored any touchdowns. Moreover, during 2018, Jones made seven receptions for 69 yards.
2. Devontae Booker
Booker has been signed to help push the capabilities of the team’s running back. Having said so, Booker hasn’t performed very well lately.
Many fans believe that Booker will not get a lot of playing time but they sure hope that he will keep Jacobs on his toes.
3. P.J. Hall
In the past couple of years, Hall recorded 1.5 sacks, a record that seems to disappoint fans.
Hall will surly face a hard time getting some playtime as he is up against Maurice Hurst and Jonathan Hankins, who both proved they can get the job done since their first year with the team.
Hall will most definitely have to prove himself to the Raiders defensive line coach Rod Marinelli who was previously training Dallas.
4. Brandon Parker
Many fans have been calling for the release of Brandon Parker since his first season and it is most likely that this will happen this year.
