It was all good news for Wynn Resorts and its neighboring Encore who took the top two positions from the top 50 US Casinos ranked by online travel company TripAdvisor after a compilation of data from almost 361,000 reviews. Las Vegas-based Wynn took the first position after being ranked at 75% from the five-star reviews. This represented a figure of 18,874 reviews out of 25,166. Encore followed closely with a landing of 74.41%.
Wynn’s present standing on the online travel company’s website is at 4.5 out of 5. The rating stems from cleanliness that has been rated at 5 and its services, location, and value that have been rated at 4.5. In one review pulled out of the website, the reveler pointed out that he wouldn’t stay elsewhere while in Vegas. Explaining why, the reveler said, ‘Place speaks luxury, everywhere. The bed is maybe the most comfortable ever, could use a couple more size pillows, but that is a minor note. The bathroom is nice and plenty of space. The shower is great and huge bathtub. View of the strip side is amazing.’
Wynn Las Vegas sitting on 110,000 square feet boasts of 2,716 rooms, 585 slot machines, and more than 165 table games.
Encore, on the other hand, had its cleanliness rated a perfect score of 5 while the value, service, and the property’s location were ranked at 4.5. Encore sits on a 72,000 square feet space and boasts of 2,034 rooms, 850 slot machines, and over 110 table games. Wynn’s newest US property, Encore Boston Harbor was not ranked among the top 50 due to its recent debut on June 23rd.
Las Vegas ranks low
However, it was not all good news for the Sin City known as the US undisputed gaming center and known to house high-end integrated resorts as compared to other regions. The city did not dominate the TripAdvisor top 50 list with just 10 properties getting the cut.
The next property that followed the two in the ranking was Pallazo which sat at number six. The Venetian, Pallazo’s sister company, was ranked at number 16. Cromwell, owned by Caesar’s Entertainment Corporation was ranked at number 11 and the next property that followed the Venetian at 16th position was Cosmopolitan which was ranked in the 20th spot.
Outside of Nevada, Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi was ranked third with its five-star reviews standing at 73.37%. Harrah’s New Orleans took the 5th spot with its five-star reviews signifying 70.42%.
Silver State had 16 properties making the list with only two (2) Atlantic City properties making the cut. At number 41 stood MGM’s Borgata and at number 49 was Caesars.
Positives to draw from the tribal gaming properties
Tribal gaming venues also had a positive score with the properties occupying more than 30% of the list. One standout property was the Chicksaw Nation-owned WinStar, in Thackerville, Okla., which took the 4th position by garnering 5,841 five-star reviews out of 7,609 reviews.At the 9th position was the next tribal gaming property, the Northern Quest Resort & Casino in Airway Heights, Washington, that is under the Kalispel Tribe of Indians operation.
