Wednesday, July 17th, 2019, saw Inspired Entertainment Inc. announce a 5-year agreement with SBTech, an iGaming solutions provider, to integrate its RGS casino content to SBTech’s platform.
After successful integration, SBTech’s clientele will be granted access to Inspired huge collection of casino games in addition to SBTech’s flagship product – Virtual Sports. Currently, SBTech has over 50 international online gambling operators it serves.
The integration between the provider and Inspired will see the company’s titles such as Book of the Irish, Centurion, and 1st Down Slots, a pioneer slots game which has seen the inclusion of American football virtual clips, accessible to the operator’s huge clientele base.
The agreement comes as an extension to an already existing relationship between the companies that has for long involved the distribution of Virtual Sports in many of the European markets.
Inspired has been on the road and the extension deal with SBTech is another one in the multiple deals on the offing. The company previously said it would purchase Gaming Technology Group (NTG) of Novomatic UK Ltd., which is the UK division of Austrian gambling company NOVOMATIC Group.
The deal expected to close in the third quarter of the year would see the company parting with EUR equivalent of $120 million for the gaming operation. Inspired looks to expand its foothold in the UK market where it currently supplies the retail operators with Category B2 and B3 gaming terminals.
Welcoming the new 5-year deal with SBTech, the Vice President of Interactive at Inspired, Claire Osborne, said that the integration would boost their capabilities into offering top casino content.
He went on to note that the operator boasted a huge customer base and through that, the company would benefit further with more presence in the newly-regulated and established markets. Inspired’s RGS Casino launch is expected to take place in the UK any time this month. The companies also project a New Jersey expansion and they said that it would follow later.
On the SBTech’s part, Andrew Cochrane, Chief Development Officer, welcomed the agreement by pointing out how their players found Inspired’s Virtual Sports enjoyable and how the company looked forward to integrating Inspired’s casino content to their platform.
More SBTech deals
This week has also seen SBTech expand its market share in the Nordics by striking a supply deal with Veikkaus, Finland’s gambling monopoly. Under the terms of the deal, the operator’s online betting operations and the retail betting network would be powered by the provider.
The provider has already started integrating its betting technology into Veikkaus online channel and this will see the launch of a digital sportsbook in the early months of 2020. After the launch of online operations, the retail betting network will also be launched and this will see Finland open over 3,000 shops to host the operator’s product.
The operator has also eyed its presence in the US and there are rumors that SBTech is in advanced talks with DraftKings, US sports betting and DFS operator, to strike a deal. News about the possible deal emerged in late June and there has been scanty information since then. If the deal is to go through, DraftKings will boast of its casino content platform and its in-house sports betting.
