Tuesday 9th July 2019, saw Red Rake Gaming, an online gaming supplier, announce a content supply with the Portugal-based Casino Portugal in what is seen as a move to expand its market share in the country. The terms of the agreement under the deal will see Red Rake Gaming offering its top-ranked and performing slots like The Asp of Cleopatra, Super 12 Stars, Knights and Mystic Mirror to Casino Portugal, a gaming operator licensed by the Portuguese regulators to provide online gambling services in the country’s iGaming market.
Speaking on the deal, Nick Barr, Managing Director of Red Rake Gaming’s Malta operation, he termed the deal as ‘an entertaining and important collaboration’ and hoped that the deal would help them get more foothold in the country’s iGaming market. On why they opted for another Portuguese deal, Mr. Barr pointed out that the results since entering the Portuguese regulated gaming market had been encouraging from the games they offer.
Nick Barr would then point out that their work with the new partner would bring about a ‘fruitful partnership’ and the deal would be good for both parties.
On Casino Portugal’s part, Antonio Laranjo, the operator’s Co-CEO, welcomed the move citing that their operations would consolidate its offering from some of the top recognized suppliers and he said that Red Rake’s Gaming portfolio matched the operator’s goal which was to offer the players the most innovative games around.
Red Rake Gaming has been on the rise in the Portuguese market and with Casino Portugal deal done, there is hope that the supplier’s ambition will be realized. The supplier made its entry in the Portuguese market at the start of this year where it made a partnership with Bet.pt.
The supplier has also secured another major deal recently with Betclic, a French gambling group. The deal signed will see the supplier granting access to the operator to go live with the supplier’s products and with the operator boasting of a big influence in Portugal, the supplier looks to tap into the same market by the provision of its online slots.
Red Rake on the move
Portuguese ambition is one of the supplier’s major strategy it has in the expansion of its presence in the regulated markets. More recently, Red Rake Gaming had a B2B license awarded by Malta Gaming Authority after making an application and this is seen as one of the measures in delivering the strategy. The supplier has also had some of its operations in Malta and it has been aligning itself to grow in the market in the competitive space.
The company has also eyed its expansion in other regulated markets in the UK and Greece and to achieve a foothold in the countries, the supplier penned a deal with Novibet which would see the operator’s customer base access Red Rake’s Gaming content.
For its presence in Greece, Romania and Portugal, the supplier penned a deal with Stoiximan, a Greek gambling group, and they still hope that the deal will also lead to its foothold in other regulated markets. The start of this month has also seen Red Rake Gaming extending its market share in the CIS region and a deal with Fonbet will see the provision of popular titles to countries like Ukraine.
